From My Friend Alan Tutt

Despite what many people would like you to believe, there really is no "secret" to personal success. The truth behind all success and failure has been publicly proclaimed for thousands of years.

As one great sage said about 2000 years ago, "According to your faith is it done unto you." Or, to put it another way, whatever you believe to be true, BECOMES true, at least for you.

Think about this. WHATEVER you believe TO BE TRUE, becomes true. This means that if you want to manifest a new experience into your life, such as a high-paying job, a harmonious home life, creative expression, vibrant health, or anything else, you must BELIEVE that it IS TRUE, and it will become so.

I can tell you from my own personal experience, it really is this simple. I can also tell you that learning to believe something new is not always easy. Simple, yes, but not always easy.

As my regular readers know, I spent a large part of my life experimenting with a wide variety of "other factors" because I couldn't believe that the truth was really this simple. Even after I demonstrated dramatic results using nothing more than an expectation of positive results, I felt I needed more.

At the time, I felt that this inner need was akin to the need our digestive systems have for fiber — a nutritionally inert substance that serves only to carry nutrients along. I reasoned that our limited human minds needed some type of "mental fiber" to carry beliefs into our inner minds.

The problem with this is that if we spent significant time working with the "mental fiber", we lose track of the true Source of Power, and start to believe that it's the "mental fiber" than does the work, even when we know otherwise.

What do I mean by "mental fiber"?

Things like affirmations, visualization, a focus on Power or other non-physical energy, spirit guides, EFT, pyramids, crystals, etc.

All of these things work merely because they give us a reason to believe that a positive outcome will take place. Or to put it another way, they work because we believe they will work.

In the medical profession, they recognize the power that belief has to heal, and have labeled it "the placebo effect." Of course, they do their best to ridicule and dismiss this incredible healing power. They have to, otherwise they wouldn't have any logical reason for all the drugs they want to sell.

And despite their best efforts, scientific tests have PROVEN that our beliefs are MORE POWERFUL than drugs.

(This is documented in my Choose To Believe book.)

Okay, getting back to my point here. The main reason that things like affirmations, visualization, EFT, and all the rest have gained so much attention is because they make it easier to believe something new. And the sooner you start believing in success, the sooner you experience success in your life.

Computers are wonderful devices, but they do nothing unless connected to a source of power, either an A/C outlet or a battery. By the same token, affirmations, visualization, pyramids, crystals, EFT, and all the rest are wonderful techniques, but will do nothing unless connected to a belief in their effectiveness.

It's the belief that makes them work. Again, whatever you believe to be true will become true, at least for you.

Now that you understand all this, success is going to be easy, right? All you have to do is believe that you'll be successful, sit back, and watch it happen. Maybe, maybe not.

Let me ask you a serious question. Do you TRULY BELIEVE that you can just sit back, do nothing, and be successful?

Remember, whatever you believe to be true, ....

Here's an easy way to find out what you believe. Ask yourself, "What do I need to do to be successful?" Be honest with yourself, and your answers will reveal what you believe.

If your answers seem easy enough to implement, then just do it and be done with it. If it seems impossible, or overly difficult, then your task is to change what you believe.

Now, how do you do that?

If you're comfortable with affirmation, visualization, or any of the other techniques, then use them. They work when you believe they will work.

But if you aren't sure about them, or want a more direct approach, that's where my Choose To Believe materials can be handy.

This isn't the place for a sales job, and I'm not going to go there. If you feel you need help changing what you believe, then I invite you to get a copy of my Choose To Believe materials, and use them. If you want a quick start, begin with my book, "28 Days to Effortless Success". That will give you the basics in a very clear, direct format.

When you want more information, there's the main book, and 2 sets of workshop recordings.

And if you get the Deluxe package, you'll also have 23 teleseminar recordings (many with transcripts) to add to your knowledge bank. The Deluxe package also includes 16 hours of background recordings to help you change what you believe about your own worthiness, which is the foundation for all success.

At the time of this writing, the Deluxe package is $97, and the Essential package is just $49. And the main book is still available for just $17.95, which is something that ANYONE can afford.

Whatever you do from here, I wish you all the success you could possible want.

Be blessed, my friend.

The Ultimate Stress-Reliever: Exercise

Perhaps it’s the result of having a new job, a new mate, or a new baby. You are overwhelmed with a feeling of excitement. Yet, you feel inadequate as well. As a result, you are under a tremendous amount of stress. At times, you might feel as if there’s no relief in sight—as if you’re on a treadmill which shows no signs of stopping anytime soon.

However, the secret to effectively dealing with the stress may be to get your body onto an actual treadmill. Exercise can be the key to stress relief. It’s an obvious antidote to fatigue. It can make you feel more energetic, improving your strength and resiliency. It has been shown that individuals who are more physically fit often experience fewer health troubles. In addition, exercisers are less likely to suffer from psychological problems such as depression, binge eating, or insomnia.

Without exercise, you are increasing the likelihood that you will be afflicted with colds, flu, or other medical problems. Aerobic exercise in particular can improve your cardiovascular system and decrease your anxiety level. Some studies have shown that, during aerobic exercise, a chemical is produced in the brain which helps to heal the body from stress-related conditions. You should exercise at least three days a week for 30 minutes at a time in order to improve not only your health but your mental outlook.

If you find it difficult to become motivated to exercise, there are a number of steps you can take. To begin with, you can join an exercise club. Knowing that you’ll have to pay dues to a gym may make it more likely that you will actually end up exercising. You might also consider enlisting the aid of a personal trainer. A trainer can provide powerful motivation, pushing you to complete exercises you never thought possible. Another idea is to join an exercise class. There, you’ll meet other people who are in a similar position. The camaraderie that develops between exercisers can help to reduce your stress level.

In general, exercise should make you feel less anxious. Your muscles become less tense and you will be less shaky after a round of exercise. It has also been shown that exercise leads to an hour and a half to two hours of relaxation response. This has also been referred to as the endorphin response. As a result, your mood will improve, enabling you to deal more effectively with stress.

Exercise can also improve your self-image. You’ll experience greater self-worth, which will, in turn, reduce your stress level. A confident person is an individual who knows how to handle stress without becoming flustered. As a result of exercise, you may also end up eating better. Your improved menu may also prove to be a stress reliever. For instance, if you give up caffeinated drinks, you might become less jittery.

In addition to your sessions in the gym, you should be looking for additional opportunities to exercise. This could mean taking the stairs instead of the elevator, walking to work instead of driving, or playing touch football in the backyard with your children. The point is to get moving—and keep moving—at every available opportunity.

Exercise quickens the blood flow to your mind, offering the brain additional sugars and oxygen which can be important if you are concentrating. Exercise can also clear out waste products from the brain which can result in unclear thinking. You will also feel a greater sense of well-being as a result of exercise.

As has been shown here, exercise is beneficial for both the body and the mind. As a result, it can relax you when other techniques fail. By engaging in exercise, you free up your mind, enabling you to concentrate better and work more efficiently. Chances are you will not only feel better, you will look better as well. With your brain under control, you should experience less stress. Granted, exercise takes time and requires discipline, but it is well worth the exertion. The good feelings you get from a powerful exercise session can actually last for days. You may find that you actually look forward to working out because of the tremendous benefits it brings with it.

Have you ever thought about publishing an eBook?

In today’s market, eBook sales are surpassing those of hardcover books. With the convenience of having an entire library at your fingertips, authors can’t afford not to have their work available in the virtual book world. But how do you go about getting it there? I want to give you a step-by-step guide to getting your eBook done.

1. Decide to publish an eBook.

This might sound obvious, but it really is the first step. You will never successfully publish and eBook, if you never decide to!

2. Decide on the content.

Whether you are re-formatting a previous book, or coming up with new content, you have to have content to publish before you can move forward.

3. Format your eBook.

Formatting an eBook for Kindle is not the same as formatting a hardcover book. There are certain things that won’t transfer, others that are just plain not allowed, and others that are a must. Before successfully publishing an eBook, you have to have it formatted correctly.

4. Submit your eBook.

That may sound like a given, but each epublishing platform has a different submission process. Some provide the ISBN number s for your book, while others require you to purchase your own. There are a lot of little things that are different in each one. If you have everything ready to go, it takes less than an hour to upload your book to Kindle.Link

5. Promote your eBook.

Once you have your eBook out there, you need to tell people about it! There are so many different ways to get the word out about your book. Pick some and get started!!

While I have given you an overall step-by-step guide to getting your book Kindle ready, in the product “Get Your Kindle eBook Done!” each of those steps (and more) are covered in greater detail. It also includes a pre-formatted template for Kindle use, and instructional videos. To learn more, check it out Here.

Gift Giving Superstitions and Legends

Superstitions: There are a lot of superstitions and legends involving the giving and receiving of gifts. For instance it was at one time considered bad luck to give a pair of scissors or a knife as a gift because it was feared that the act would "cut" the friendship in half. Therefore knives were never given as wedding gifts as it was believed they would lead to a broken marriage.

Also never give anyone a pair of shoes as a Christmas gift because they would make the person you give them to walk away from you. When you give someone a gift of a wallet or purse be sure to put some money into it, even if only a coin, to ward off bad luck. At one time bakers would throw in an extra roll when you bought a dozen as a "gift" in case any of the other rolls were too small. This "gift" became known as the baker's dozen.

Urban legends: Legends are told as having happened long, long ago whereas urban legends are set in contemporary times and told as having happened to people known either personally to the teller or to someone known by a person the teller knows. The places and names change as they are updated to fit current times and all carry a warning or lesson of some sort. There may even be some truth to the story although the people and places have been changed so many times that it becomes hard to determine what the truth actually was.

One such tale recounts a king's offer of a gift to a famous golfer (sometimes the golfer is named other times he is just "a famous golfer") who after first declining the gift asks for a golf club only to find to his amazement that the king has bought him an entire golf course.

In several different legends, although the people and circumstances change the story and its warning are the same. A son (nephew, daughter, niece...) is expecting a very expensive gift (car, house, inheritance...) from his father (uncle, aunt...) but receives a bible. In a fit of anger he throws the bible at the giver and leaves not returning until the givers death when he notices the bible from so long ago, opens it and finds the (key to the car, check to the car dealer, will leaving him everything etc.).

Then there are the one-up-manship legends. Two or more siblings vie to get the best gift for their mother (houses, cars, jewels) with one going to great expense to get a bird (myna, parrot...) that has been specially trained (to read the bible, sing opera, speak Italian...). The mother politely thanks all (while letting them know their gift wasn't very practical) then speaks proudly of the child who had the sense to bring her the delicious chicken.

There is also a true story of two brothers who re-gifted the same pair of pants back and forth wrapped in very creative ways, from rolling them into a 3' long 1" wide pipe to stuffing them into the glove compartment of a car that they then had crushed and delivered in time for Christmas. The pants went back and forth for 25 years before they finally fell apart.
